Opened in December 2006 this purpose-built development of three two-bedroom bungalows offers a high standard of Supported Living in a quiet cul-de-sac location within a large South-Bedfordshire village.
The bungalows are just a short walk from extensive sports fields and all the amenities of this vibrant village, including shops, pubs and restaurants.
Each bungalow has two large bedrooms, a lounge, a fitted kitchen, a large shared bathroom and a private garden. The specification of each is slightly different; one having fitted ramps for wheelchair access, a purpose-designed bathroom and a specially adapted kitchen with motorised worktops. There is also a wireless staff-call system in place. Further adaptations of each bungalow can be provided according to the needs of each Service User.
The bungalows are set within a safe and secure area that includes private parking.
As a Supported Living scheme each Service User has an individual assured tenancy. Social Care Solutions provides an appropriate level of support to each individual as detailed in his or her regularly reviewed person-centred support plan.
We encourage and empower individuals to develop their social and life skills in order to live as independently as possible. We also provide encouragement and support for the achievement of each Service User's aspirations and goals; in education, employment and in their personal lives.
